Looking for Airbnb wedding venues in North Carolina and still deciding where to celebrate? This statewide guide helps you compare settings around Chapel Hill, Lake Gaston, Pinehurst and Fayetteville, then check each property’s event agreement separately from its overnight lodging. The shortlist includes properties that advertise event use and group rentals where your wedding plans still need approval.

In September 2024, Hurricane Helene disrupted my client’s Asheville wedding plans. With a week to go, my assistant and I contacted owners and helped find a replacement. My client chose French Country Farm Escape. That experience started this guide; it does not establish today’s availability or permission at every property below.
Listings and sources checked October 29, 2026. These are published property details, not personal inspections, confirmed availability or booking quotes. Some properties also book through Vrbo or their own website. Overnight occupancy is not an event guest limit.
Compare North Carolina regions for your rental wedding
- Working-farm setting near Chapel Hill: French Country Farm Escape offers lodging and separately arranged event hosting.
- A dedicated outdoor wedding venue with optional lodging: Parkton Place near Fayetteville publishes wedding packages.
- A lakefront celebration to discuss with the owner: Oasis at Lake Gaston explicitly considers small weddings under a separate contract.
- A larger lake-house stay: compare Viewtopia and Endless Summer, with written event and visitor approval.
- A Pinehurst lodging base: Kenwood Villa and Abbey Manor offer group accommodation; wedding-specific permission still needs confirmation.

French Country Farm Escape · Chapel Hill
The host’s Airbnb listing identifies a seven-bedroom working-farm stay at Bohlen Farms near Chapel Hill. The Vrbo description says limited event hosting is available separately from overnight rental. Offices and outbuildings are excluded from the standard stay; farm work may continue unless arrangements are made.
Ask before booking: which event spaces are included, the approved event headcount, event fee, access times, parking and the indoor rain plan. Confirm the lodging capacity and permitted use in your agreement rather than relying on the platform’s “16+” display.
My photography planning advice
This was the property my client chose after the Asheville disruption. The practical lesson from that search is to keep the owner, vendors and timeline working from the same plan. For a working farm, I would confirm the portrait areas we can actually use, keep family photographs close to the celebration and allow time to move between the house and ceremony. Arrange any quiet period needed for vows or ceremony audio rather than assume the farm will be silent.
Parkton Place · Parkton, near Fayetteville
The venue’s wedding page offers elopement, day-of and two-night wedding options. It describes a covered outdoor pavilion seating up to 100, getting-ready spaces, gardens and a pond. Its day-of event listing is specifically for event-space use, not a whole-house overnight reservation.
Compare the booking types: confirm what your chosen package includes. The venue says catering, DJ, cake, officiant, linens, dinnerware and setup/teardown are not included, and liability insurance is required. Ask how the rain plan works for your guest count; a covered open-air pavilion is different from an enclosed indoor room.
My photography planning advice
I would plan a small number of portrait stops—the house, a shaded garden spot and the pond—rather than spend your reception walking the grounds. Ask where the ceremony sits relative to the sun. Keep animals in photographs only with the venue’s permission and a handler. Confirm safe, accessible alternatives to pondside or pasture portraits for family members.
Oasis at Lake Gaston · Littleton
The host listing for Oasis describes six bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, lake access, a dock and a pool. It explicitly says small weddings and receptions may be considered by the owner and require a separate contract.
Clarify the numbers: the title says sleeps 24 while the body says 26. Get the current sleeping limit and a separate event attendance limit in writing. Also confirm the ceremony area, outside vendors, event charge, parking and rain backup. The possibility of approval is not approval for your wedding.
My photography planning advice
For a lakeside ceremony, I would check the sun’s direction at your actual ceremony time before choosing which way you face. Keep a stable, shaded family-portrait location away from the dock edge. Pool and lake backgrounds can look lovely, but I would also identify a dry indoor portrait option and a quieter space for private vows.
Viewtopia and Endless Summer · Lake Gaston
These are two distinct properties from Vedra Family Properties, not interchangeable listings.
- Viewtopia, Macon: the manager advertises seven bedrooms and a maximum overnight occupancy of 24. Its description requires owner pre-approval for events and written permission to exceed the overnight maximum during the day or night.
- Endless Summer, Littleton: the manager lists 11 bedrooms and a maximum occupancy of 36, with covered porches and a lakefront lawn. It also requires written permission for visitors beyond the overnight maximum. “Other events allowed” is not a wedding-specific agreement.
What decides between them: approved attendance, bed arrangements, mobility needs, permitted gathering space and the indoor backup. Confirm cancellation terms before paying; do not choose solely on the larger sleeping count.
My photography planning advice
For either lake house, I would keep getting-ready photographs on one agreed floor and scout the route to the ceremony. A covered balcony can offer shade but may not hold a whole family group. Build in travel time between floors and the shoreline, and ask the manager which paths and outdoor areas work for guests with limited mobility. For a larger overnight group, separate the photo space from luggage, meals and gathering areas.
Kenwood Villa and Abbey Manor · Pinehurst
The manager’s Kenwood Villa page lists eight bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms and sleeping space for 22 at Forest Creek. It is a group rental in a gated golf community. Confirm visitor entry, parking, vendors and wedding permission; general event language does not establish your ceremony or reception terms.
The same manager’s Abbey Manor page describes a six-bedroom house on Pinehurst No. 6. Its descriptions use both 22+ and 24 for sleeping capacity. Confirm the current bed plan and occupancy, plus any wedding-use agreement. Neither property’s golf-course view grants access to the course for photographs.
My photography planning advice
I would compare the getting-ready rooms, usable window light and the drive to your ceremony venue before choosing a house. For golf-course portraits, obtain permission and agree on the permitted areas and timing. Have a house-side alternative ready. A gated entrance also needs a clear arrival plan for your photographer, hair and makeup team and any other vendors.
Names I could not confidently verify
“Beautiful Lake House with a View,” “Farm Retreat” and “Luxury Oceanfront Rental” are too general to match reliably to a current listing. I have left them out of the active comparison rather than attach the wrong property. For coastal options with identifiable listings, see the updated Wilmington rental wedding guide.
Compare the whole cost and the event agreement
- Required nights, lodging taxes, cleaning, booking fees and cancellation terms.
- A separate event fee and the permitted numbers of overnight guests, day visitors and vendors.
- Tables, chairs, linens, catering, bathrooms, parking, transport, setup and cleanup.
- An indoor or covered rain plan suitable for the full approved group.
- Vendor arrival times, sound limits, departure times and any insurance requirements.
Airbnb’s Community Disturbance Policy prohibits disruptive gatherings and open-invitation parties. Check the rules for the platform you use as well as the property agreement. A host’s permission does not override platform restrictions.
Plan the photographs around your actual day
Before you book, I would want your property link, date, ceremony time, approximate guest count and rain plan. Then we can discuss getting-ready light, a nearby family-portrait spot, time together for couple portraits and a quieter place for vows. These are setting-based planning recommendations, not a claim that I have photographed every property listed.
